TAHLEQUAH - The Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma (CNO) Women Infants and Children (WIC) Program currently has openings in all its clinics for women and children who meet income guidelines and who are at nutritional risk.The CNO-WIC Program provides nutrition education and vouchers for supplemental foods to pregnant, postpartum, and breast-feeding women, infants and children less than five years of age.
Funded by U.S. Department of Agriculture, the standards of participation in WIC are the same for everyone regardless of age, race, gender, color, national origin or handicaps. Eligibility for the program requires that an individual meet the income, residency and identification guidelines and be at nutritional risk.
