Sequoyah Set to Honor Senior Athletes Oct. 30

TAHLEQUAH, Oklahoma - Sequoyah Schools’ will honor their senior fall sport athletes on “senior night”, Friday, October 30. The recognition event will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Sequoyah Schools’ Thompson Field.

“It’s become a tradition to honor our seniors on the last home game of their season,” said Larry Grigg, Sequoyah Schools’ athletic director. “It’s kind of a right of passage that they have to wait four years for. They look forward to this.”

Seniors who will be recognized are: Football players; Gary Don Weaver, Dylan Tiddark, Clayton Saiz, Cody Martin, Caleb Kingfisher, Keanu Poe, T.J. Scraper, Dalton McCullar, Ryker Salazar, Ryan Mouse, Justin Lepley, Caleb Deardueff, Domingo Chavez, Chris Hummingbird, Dominic Washington, Robbie England, Taylor Poe, Spencer Yazzie, Jacob Tiger, Chris Littlehead, Trenton McClemore, and Keathen Kingfisher. Football water girls; Vanity DeBrosse, Lindsey Hammer, Lyndsey Dry, Megan Larney, and Jacinda Pettit. Volleyball player Megan Larney and volleyball manager Rhiannon Sanders. Cheerleaders; Sasha and Symone Ross, and Haylee Beck. Fast-pitch softball players; Cortney Glass, Lindsey Hammer, Salli McLemore, Brenna McLemore, Ashton Parent, Haylee Beck, Dee Adair, Taylor Yochum, Nikki Lewis, Caitlin Dry, Taylor Johnson, and Megan Tehee. Cross country runners; Robert Ketcher, Traven McCoy, David Lewis, Corri Horsechief, Jeremy Price, Kialo Vann, Whitney Hatley, Jodi Hooper, Danetta Ross, Vera Rooster, Tiffany Smith and Jacinda Pettit.

Fall sports coaches will present the seniors with a token of their appreciation at center field before the home football game against Adair on October 30.
