The Cherokee Nation Sallisaw Tag Office replaces a tribal tag office
that had been located in Gore for the past few years. The move is
intended to provide better service to tribal citizens. Hours will be
from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
In addition to the new Sallisaw location, Cherokee Nation also operates
tribal tag offices in Tahlequah, Collinsville and Adair. The tag offices
are a service provided through the Cherokee Nation Tax Commission.
Cherokee Nation’s tag offices give Cherokee Nation citizens living in
the 14-county jurisdictional area of the tribe the opportunity to
purchase tribal motor vehicle tags. A portion of the revenue from each
tag sold is contributed annually to area school districts.
