Iroquois Landing Illinois - I look with the vision of sovereignty being restored to the people and the land is a major point to this sovereignty. Many things I focus on relate to land. The occupying U.S. Government and State of New York are asking my people to relinquish title to our homelands. To do this would be against the spiritual nature of the people and our great law and tradition.
They tell us the homelands of the people are ours, but they ask us to release title to this land.
As I look east to New Brunswick there is trouble for the people there, and this too is land / sovereignty issue. And looking to the west I see this message from people there in the struggle for their sovereignty.
The Point made here is the occupying U.S. Government bought Alaska from the russians who didn't own it either. The land belongs to the Native People.
This can be said also of the so called Jefferson purchase of Louisiana Territory. The land was bought from French Government to support wars, and bought from someone who never even set foot in the lands. And if the English lost war to colonies why didn't the colonies get Buckingham Palace and not our lands.
But it seems about recognition. The dutch got out of New Amsterdam and let England wrestle with problem of title. The english had no title, except what they imagined, and you can't give away what is not yours to do so.
The recognition is the fact in collusion the occupying U.S. Government and the Europeans Governments gave each other rights to control and enslave others.
