Facts about the Pine Ridge Reservation. "The Pine Ridge Reservation is the site of "the last great battle of the Indian Wars" according to the United States government. However, it was not the site of a battle, but the locale for the Wounded Knee Massacre. In 1890, approximately 150 (mostly elderly, women and children) were gunned down."
